11 SFS Mobile Defense Shields

The required item is the Defenshield, Inc. MDFP/DS-192, or equal and Rear Swivel Casters for MDFP or SP Units, approx. 22 lbs. The requirement is for a mobile, outdoor-rated ballistic barrier for Security Forces personnel at installation entry points. The barrier must provide minimum Level IV ballistic protection, adequate personnel coverage and visibility, and rapid repositioning during routine and dynamic threat operations. It must withstand continuous outdoor exposure and use oversized ATV-style solid polyurethane tires to move reliably over contoured, uneven entry-point pavement.
