V-22 Loads and Dynamics Models

Naval Air Systems Command, V-22 Joint Program Office/PMA-275, awarded delivery order N0001926F2168 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0002 to the Bell Boeing Joint Project Office to procure loads and dynamics model data for all V-22 variants prior to and concurrent with V-22 production cessation. The technical data will support future sustainment decisions, mishap investigations, transition to post-production sustainment, and Fleet Support Team repair and maintenance of V-22 aircraft. This contract was awarded on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) (formerly Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)). Bell Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 Tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to perform this effort. Specifically, Bell Boeing is the only source that possesses the totality of the engineering and technical data required to perform this effort.
