Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Infrastructure Standards Development, Maintenance, and Related Activities

Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(3), as implemented by FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii) (Establishing or maintaining essential engineering, research, or development capability specifically provided by an educational or other nonprofit institution or a federally funded research and development center) and FAR 6.302-3(b)(2)(ii) (Establishing or maintaining an essential capability for engineering or developmental work calling for the practical application of investigative findings and theories of a scientific or technical nature), the Government intends to negotiate and award a single-award, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to: Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Inc. 1627 Eye Street NW Suite 600 Washington, DC 20006 The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a professional association and recognized standards development organization with a long-standing role in supporting the development, maintenance, and stewardship of national Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) standards in coordination with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the ITS Joint Program Office. For over three decades, ITE has supported federally stewarded ITS standards activities that bring together public agencies, private-sector technology providers, and subject matter experts to develop consensus-based standards that enable interoperable, safe, and effective transportation systems. FHWA requires non-personal systems engineering development, testing, and research services to support the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) ITS Joint Program Office (ITS-JPO).
