Maintenance and Repair Services of Wind Profilers and Radiometers

This contract action was competed; however, only one responsible source submitted a proposal. The requirement was solicited under FAR Part 12 procedures in accordance with FAR 12.201?1 (DFARS CD 2026-O0028), which permits award when only one source can meet the agency’s needs. Market research and a posted Sources Sought identified only Radiometrics Corporation as possessing the OEM authorization, proprietary technical data, and specialized expertise required to maintain and repair the existing MP?3000A Microwave Radiometers and Radar Wind Profiler systems. As documented in the justification, Radiometrics retains exclusive ownership of the source code, internal architecture, and proprietary software necessary to perform updates, diagnostics, and cybersecurity compliance actions, and no other vendor can legally or technically support these systems. This award is a hybrid contract consisting of firm?fixed?price and time?and?materials CLINs.
