BPA Set-up for Raw Materials of Base Rock, Clean Rock, and Riprap The purpose of this amendment is to provide additional questions and answers asked thus far. 1. Is the 20-mile distance measured by driving distance or straight-line radius from the intersection? Answer: Driving distance as measure by Google Maps or some similar type program. 2. Would it be acceptable for J&R to source compliant material from a qualifying small-business quarry located outside the 20-mile area and transport it to a stockpile or loading yard located within the required radius? Answer: Yes but be aware the performance begins the day the contract is awarded which is anticipated to be before the end of this month. 3. If permitted, would the stockpile location need to be owned or operated by the quarry, or could it be managed by J&R or another qualified subcontractor? Answer: It does not matter who owns or manages the stockpile area as long as we can access it with dump trucks and it is within the 20-mile area. 4. Would the proposed location be compliant if it provided certified scales and weight tickets, suitable loading equipment, MoDOT-compliant materials, and availability within 72 hours of each BPA call? Answer: Yes 5. Are there any additional permits, certifications or documentation the government would require for the proposed stockpile location? Answer: Not that is known at this point. We just need to be able to weigh complaint material on our trucks to ensure we are getting the proper amount of material. Quotes are due by 5:00 PM CDT on September 18, 2026, unless changed by solicitation amendment. Reminder to monitor the solicitation posting for any amendments posted until the solicitation closes. Offerors must acknowledge any/all amendments by the due date and time for quotes.
