Award Notice – Sole Source Purchase Order for Body Armor

In accordance with FAR Subpart 5.3, Synopses of Contract Awards, the Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), has awarded a sole source purchase order to VELOCITY SYSTEMS LLC, 45064 UNDERWOOD LN, STERLING, VA 20166-2304, UEI: QEJENAS64KR3, for the procurement of specialized Body Armor . The total award value is $138,000.00, which is under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. VELOCITY SYSTEMS LLC was determined to be the only responsible source capable of providing the required body armor due to compatibility with existing inventory, maintain configuration standardization across personnel, minimizes additional training and logistical support requirements, and allows for continued interchangeability of components.
